Prince Edward Island EOI Draw

Recently, Prince Edward Island (PEI) held its monthly immigration draw on 16th, December 2021. There are a total of  3 categories that fall under this draw, which consists mainly Express Entry category, Labour Impact category, and Business Impact category.

Out of the three, 114 candidates were invited under the Express Entry category and Labour Impact category, with no minimum score. However, the cut-off score was required under the Business Impact category. The remaining 10 invitations were issued under the business impact category with a minimum score of 67 points.

Throughout the year, PEI issued a total of 1854 invitations, out of which 1697 candidates were under the Labour Impact category, and 157 candidates were under the Business Impact category.

What is the Labour Impact category?

Candidates who have a valid job offer in this particular province and have support from his/her employer, then they are eligible under the Labour Impact category. Skilled Worker, Critical Worker & International Graduate are primarily the three streams that fall under this category.

What is the Business Impact category?

Of all the three, the Business Impact category is the only category that needs to have a required cut-off score. The invitations that are issued under this category were registered under the work permit stream, which is for immigrants who want to start up their own business on this island.
